Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when VidToArticle.com offers refunds for subscriptions and other paid services, and how to request one. It is designed to be fair, clear, and consistent with how modern SaaS tools operate.

This page is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult with your own legal counsel about your obligations.

1. Overview & scope

This Refund Policy applies to all paid products and services offered by VidToArticle ("VidToArticle," "we," "us," or "our"), including subscription plans, add-ons, usage-based fees, and any one-time purchases made through our website or application.

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Where there is a conflict, the Terms of Service will control, except where applicable law grants you additional non-waivable consumer rights.

2. Quick summary

  • First-time subscription payments on a new account may be refundable within a short window, as described in Section 3.1.
  • Renewal payments are generally non-refundable, as described in Section 3.2, but we will correct billing errors, duplicates, and unauthorized charges.
  • One-time purchases and used credits are usually non-refundable once delivered, but we may refund or credit failed or undelivered services.
  • If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer rights, those rights continue to apply alongside this policy.

3. Subscriptions and recurring billing

When you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge you the subscription fee shown at checkout on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually), until you cancel.

3.1 First payment on a new account

To give new customers confidence in trying VidToArticle, we offer a one-time satisfaction guarantee on the first paid subscription payment for a new account. You are eligible for a full refund of that first payment if all of the following are true:

  • This is your first-ever paid subscription on your VidToArticle account; and
  • You request a refund within fourteen (14) days of that initial charge; and
  • You have not abused the service (for example, creating a large volume of content solely for immediate resale or scraping purposes).

When these conditions are met, we will provide a full refund of that first subscription payment. Once this first-payment period has passed (or you have already received a first-payment refund once), future payments follow the rules below.

3.2 Renewals and ongoing payments

In line with common SaaS practice, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged, except as required by law or explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.

  • If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. We do not typically issue refunds or credits for partial months or unused time.
  • It is your responsibility to cancel before the renewal date if you do not wish to continue your subscription.
  • We may, at our sole discretion, provide a goodwill partial or full refund in specific situations (for example, clear technical failures on our side that prevented you from using the service).

3.3 Upgrades, downgrades, and plan changes

If you upgrade your plan, your billing may be prorated by our payment provider and reflected in your next invoice. If you downgrade, the change will usually apply from your next renewal date. Unless we state otherwise, upgrades, downgrades, and other changes are non-refundable once processed.

4. Free trials and evaluation periods

From time to time, we may offer free trials or free tiers so you can evaluate whether VidToArticle meets your needs before starting a paid subscription.

If you sign up for a free trial that automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial, you will be informed of this at sign-up. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

5. Refunds we do provide

We aim to treat genuine billing issues fairly. In addition to any rights you may have under law, we will generally provide refunds or credits in the following situations:

  • Billing errors or incorrect amounts. If we charge you the wrong amount due to our error, we will correct the mistake and issue an appropriate refund or credit.
  • Duplicate charges. If you are accidentally charged twice for the same service period, we will refund the duplicate charge.
  • Unauthorized or fraudulent use. If your payment method was used without your authorization, please contact your bank or payment provider and notify us. Once the issue is verified, we will work with you and the payment provider to resolve it, which may include issuing a refund.
  • Technical failures on our side. If you experience a persistent technical issue that prevents you from using VidToArticle as intended and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time after you contact us, we may, at our discretion, issue a partial or full refund or account credit.

6. One-time purchases, credits, and usage-based fees

If we offer one-time purchases (for example, usage credits, add-ons, or special processing packages):

  • Once credits or one-time services have been used or delivered, they are generally non-refundable.
  • For unused credits, we may, at our discretion, offer refunds or convert them into account credit, unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
  • If a one-time service cannot be delivered due to a technical issue on our side, we will either attempt to complete the service or offer a refund or credit.

7. How to request a refund

  • The email address associated with your VidToArticle account.
  • The date and amount of the charge you are asking about.
  • Whether you are requesting a refund under a specific part of this policy (for example, first subscription within 14 days, duplicate charge, technical failure).
  • Any relevant supporting details (screenshots, invoice IDs, or error messages).

We aim to review most refund requests within a few business days. If a refund is approved, it will typically be processed within several business days, but the exact time for the funds to appear will depend on your bank or payment provider.

8. Customers in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions

If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants mandatory consumer rights (such as a cooling-off period), you may have additional rights to cancel or obtain a refund within a certain period.

Where those laws apply and cannot be limited, we will honor them in addition to this policy. However, by starting to use VidToArticle immediately after purchase (for example, by generating articles or using other paid features during any cooling-off period), you may lose some or all of your right to withdraw for the portion of the service already used, and we may deduct a proportionate amount for that use as permitted by law.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Abuse, fair use, and chargebacks

We reserve the right to decline refund requests or disable accounts where we reasonably believe there is abuse, fraud, or a pattern of requesting refunds after extensive usage of the service.

If you open a chargeback or dispute with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us first, we may suspend or terminate your access to VidToArticle while the dispute is pending. Where a chargeback is resolved in our favor, we may treat any refunded amounts as still due and attempt to collect them again, as allowed by the payment provider's rules.

10. Changes to this policy & contact

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date where shown and may also provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
