Overview
The Free plan is a great way to try VidToArticle, but serious publishing workflows benefit from higher limits and more features. This guide explains how to upgrade to a paid plan and what to expect during the process.
For current pricing and included limits, always refer to the Pricing page in the app, as numbers can change over time.
1. Open the Pricing page
- Log in to VidToArticle.
- In the navigation, go to Pricing.
- Review the available plans (for example: Starter, Pro, Enterprise) and their limits.
Each plan will show approximate monthly quotas for articles, books, and essays, plus any extra features.
2. Choose a plan
- Decide which plan matches your expected usage and features.
- Click the Get Started or Upgrade button for that plan.
- You will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page.
3. Complete checkout
On the Stripe checkout page:
- Enter your email address (used for receipts and billing notifications).
- Add your payment method (credit/debit card).
- Confirm your billing details (name, address, VAT ID if applicable).
- Review the summary (plan name, billing interval, trial if offered).
- Click Subscribe or Start Subscription.
After a successful payment, you will be redirected back to VidToArticle.
4. Confirm your new plan in VidToArticle
Back in the app:
- Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- Check the Current Plan card at the top.
- It should now show your new paid tier (for example, Starter or Pro), along with:
- Renewal date (for monthly/annual subscriptions).
- Current quotas for Articles, Books, and Essays.
If the plan does not update within a minute, try refreshing the page. If it still looks wrong, contact support.
5. Upgrading from one paid plan to another
If you are already on a paid plan and want to move up (for example, Starter → Pro):
- Open Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- Click Manage Billing – Portal.
- In the Stripe Billing Portal, change your subscription to the higher tier.
- Stripe will prorate charges according to your billing cycle.
VidToArticle will reflect your new tier shortly after Stripe confirms the change.
6. Switching to annual billing
To switch an existing paid plan from monthly to annual:
- Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- If available, click the Save with Annual Billing section.
- Confirm the upgrade in the checkout flow.
The UI may highlight that:
- You effectively get 2 months free when you pay annually.
- Any remaining quota on your current cycle can be rolled over into the new plan.
7. If your payment fails
If payment fails during upgrade or renewal:
- Stripe will show an error message during checkout, or
- VidToArticle may mark your subscription as past due.
In that case:
- Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- Click Manage Billing – Portal.
- Update your payment method and retry the payment.
If you still cannot upgrade, contact support via the in-app support section with the error message from Stripe.
