Overview
VidToArticle uses monthly quotas for different types of content:
- Articles – standard blog-style articles generated from videos.
- Books – longer, book-style outputs (if enabled in your plan).
- Essays – structured essays or long-form content.
Your plan determines how many of each you can generate per billing period. This guide explains how those limits work and how to read the usage display in the app.
1. Where to see your limits
- Log in to VidToArticle.
- Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- In the Current Plan card, you will see three counters:
- Articles Remaining – used / total for this billing period.
- Books Remaining – used / total.
- Essays Remaining – used / total.
Example:
7 / 20Articles Remaining means you have used 7 out of 20 articles this period.
Some higher tiers may show ∞ for certain limits, meaning effectively unlimited usage for that content type.
2. How quotas reset
Quotas reset at the start of each billing period:
- Monthly plans – reset once per month on your renewal date.
- Annual plans – follow the rules of your annual subscription; some plans may still track monthly-style quotas internally.
The renewal or access end date is shown just above your current plan in Billing & Subscription.
3. What happens when you reach a limit
If you hit the quota for a given content type:
- New generations of that type may be blocked until the quota resets, or
- The app may show an error or prompt you to upgrade.
Important:
- Existing generated content remains available in My Articles and other history views.
- You are not charged extra beyond what is described for your plan without explicit confirmation.
If you consistently hit your limit early in the period, consider upgrading to a higher plan or annual billing for better value.
4. Free vs paid plans
While exact numbers vary by plan and over time, the general pattern is:
- Free plan – lower limits intended for trying out the product.
- Starter / Pro / Enterprise – higher or unlimited limits tailored for regular and heavy users.
Always check the Pricing page for the latest per-plan quotas, as documentation may lag behind pricing updates.
5. How upgrades interact with limits
When you upgrade your plan (for example, Free → Starter or Starter → Pro):
- Your new plan’s limits take effect for the current billing period.
- In many cases, unused quota from your old plan is effectively superseded by higher limits.
When switching from monthly to annual, VidToArticle may:
- Increase your overall quota.
- Preserve remaining quota so you do not lose what you already paid for (see the in-app messaging in Billing & Subscription for current behavior).
6. Troubleshooting quota issues
If the numbers do not look right:
- Refresh the Billing & Subscription page.
- Ensure that you are logged into the correct account.
- Check that your most recent subscription payment succeeded.
- If you recently changed plans, wait a short time for Stripe to sync with VidToArticle.
Still confused? Contact support via the in-app support section and include:
- A screenshot of your Billing & Subscription section.
- A short description of what you expected vs what you see.
- Any relevant plan or invoice details from your Stripe emails.
