Managing WordPress Connections

Add, edit, or remove WordPress sites connected to your VidToArticle account.

Overview

Once you have one or more WordPress sites connected to VidToArticle, you can manage them from a central place. This guide covers how to view, update, and remove WordPress connections.

1. Open the WordPress connections list

  1. Log in to VidToArticle.
  2. Navigate to the WordPress or Integrations section in the app.
  3. You will see a list of Connected WordPress Sites.

Each entry typically shows:

  • Site name and URL.
  • Connection status (for example, Active or Disconnected).
  • When it was connected.

2. Adding a new WordPress site

If you need to connect an additional site:

  1. Click Connect New WordPress Site.
  2. Enter the new site’s URL.
  3. Follow the same flow described in Connecting Your WordPress Site to authorize it.

You can repeat this process for each site you want to manage from VidToArticle, subject to plan limits.

3. Editing a connection

In some versions of the UI you can edit basic connection details:

  1. Find the site you want to update.
  2. Click Edit, Settings, or a similar option.
  3. Adjust options such as:
    • Default post status (Draft, Pending Review, Published).
    • Default category or tags.
    • Whether to use featured images by default.

If the site URL itself changes (for example, you move from http:// to https:// or change domains), it is usually safer to disconnect the old site and create a new connection with the correct URL.

4. Disconnecting a site

To stop VidToArticle from publishing to a particular WordPress site:

  1. In the Connected WordPress Sites list, find the site.
  2. Click Disconnect, Remove, or a similar action.
  3. Confirm the action when prompted.

What happens when you disconnect:

  • VidToArticle will no longer be able to create or update posts on that site.
  • Existing posts already published to WordPress remain in place.
  • You can reconnect later by repeating the connection flow.

5. Handling connection issues

If a WordPress connection shows as Disconnected, Error, or similar:

  1. Confirm that the VidToArticle Publisher plugin is still installed and active on your WordPress site.
  2. Check that your site is reachable from the internet and not behind a maintenance mode or firewall.
  3. Try reconnecting from VidToArticle if an option is provided.
  4. If problems persist, disconnect the site in VidToArticle and set up a fresh connection.

You can always contact support via the in-app support section with details if you continue to see errors.

6. Best practices

  • Periodically review your list of connected sites and remove any you no longer use.
  • Use clear site names (for example, Main Blog, Docs Site) so you pick the right target when publishing.
  • If you manage multiple brands, double-check the selected site before publishing each article.
