Overview
Most subscription changes in VidToArticle are handled by the Stripe Billing Portal, which you can open directly from the app. This guide explains how to access the portal and what you can do there.
1. Open the Billing & Subscription settings
- Log in to VidToArticle.
- Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription.
- At the top, you will see your Current Plan and a summary of your quotas.
If you are on the free plan, you will see a button to upgrade instead of a billing portal link.
2. Open the Stripe Billing Portal
If you are on a paid plan:
- In Settings → Billing & Subscription, click Manage Billing – Portal.
- VidToArticle will create a secure session with Stripe and redirect you to the Stripe Billing Portal.
If you see an error like “No billing account found”, it usually means you do not yet have an active paid subscription.
3. What you can do in the Billing Portal
In the Stripe Billing Portal you can:
- Change plans – move between tiers (for example, Starter ↔ Pro ↔ Enterprise).
- Switch billing interval – monthly ↔ annual, where supported.
- Update payment method – add, remove, or replace cards.
- View invoices and receipts – download PDFs for your accounting.
- Update billing details – such as company name, address, and tax information.
- Cancel your subscription – stop future renewals while keeping access until the end of the period.
Changes made in the portal are reflected back in VidToArticle shortly after Stripe confirms them.
4. Cancelling your subscription
To cancel a paid subscription:
- Open the Billing Portal from the app (see above).
- Find your active VidToArticle subscription.
- Choose the Cancel or End Subscription option.
- Confirm the cancellation.
What happens when you cancel:
- You keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
- VidToArticle will show an Access ends [date] message in the Billing & Subscription section.
- Your plan will automatically revert to the free tier once the period ends.
You can restart a subscription later by upgrading again.
5. Switching between monthly and annual
If you want to switch billing intervals (for example, monthly → annual):
- From Settings → Billing & Subscription, click the annual billing promotional box (if shown) or open the Billing Portal.
- Follow the prompts in Stripe to change the billing interval.
- Stripe will handle any prorations according to your billing schedule.
Once Stripe confirms the change, VidToArticle updates your subscription details and next renewal date.
6. Refreshing your subscription status in VidToArticle
If you just made a change and do not see it reflected yet:
- Wait a few seconds for Stripe to notify VidToArticle.
- Refresh the Billing & Subscription page.
- If needed, log out and log back in.
If the status still looks wrong, contact support via the in-app support section and include:
- The email tied to your account.
- A brief description of the change you made.
- Any relevant invoice or subscription IDs from Stripe emails.
