Installing the WordPress Plugin

Step-by-step guide to install and activate the VidToArticle Publisher plugin.

Overview

This guide explains how to install and activate the VidToArticle Publisher plugin on your WordPress site so you can publish generated articles directly from VidToArticle.

You will need:

  • A self-hosted WordPress site or WordPress.com plan that supports plugins.
  • Administrator access to that site.

1. Open your WordPress admin

  1. Log in to your WordPress site (/wp-admin).
  2. In the left sidebar, go to Plugins → Add New.

2. Install the VidToArticle Publisher plugin

There are two ways you might install the plugin, depending on how it is distributed.

  1. In Plugins → Add New, click Upload Plugin.
  2. Click Choose File and select the vidtoarticle-publisher.zip file you downloaded.
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. When installation finishes, click Activate Plugin.

If you ever need a fresh copy of the ZIP, you can download it again from the VidToArticle dashboard or docs.

B. Install from the WordPress plugin directory (if available)

If the plugin is listed in the official directory:

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New.
  2. Search for "VidToArticle".
  3. Click Install Now on VidToArticle Publisher.
  4. Click Activate when installation completes.

3. Confirm the plugin is active

After activation:

  1. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
  2. Confirm that VidToArticle Publisher appears in the list and is marked as Active.
  3. You should also see a VidToArticle menu item in the WordPress admin sidebar (location may vary slightly by theme).

If the plugin is not active, click Activate. If activation fails, note the error message and contact support.

4. Check your site URL in VidToArticle

In order for VidToArticle to connect to your WordPress site:

  1. Log in to VidToArticle.
  2. Go to Dashboard → My Articles or the WordPress section (depending on the UI version).
  3. When you create a new WordPress connection, make sure you enter the exact site URL (including https:// and any subdirectories, like /blog).

The URL must match your WordPress installation; otherwise authentication may fail.

5. Next steps

Once the plugin is active, continue with:

  • Connecting Your WordPress Site – authorize VidToArticle using a secure connection.
  • Setting Up Channel Monitoring – automatically publish new videos as articles.
