Overview
After installing the VidToArticle Publisher plugin, you need to connect your WordPress site to your VidToArticle account. This creates a secure integration so VidToArticle can publish articles as WordPress posts.
1. Requirements
Before starting, make sure:
- The VidToArticle Publisher plugin is installed and active on your WordPress site.
- You can log in to both WordPress and VidToArticle.
- Your site is accessible over HTTPS (recommended for security).
2. Open the WordPress integration section in VidToArticle
- Log in to VidToArticle.
- From the dashboard, go to the WordPress or Integrations section (the exact label may vary slightly).
- Click Connect New WordPress Site or a similar button.
You will see a form asking for your WordPress site URL and possibly other details.
3. Enter your site URL
- In the Site URL field, enter the base URL of your WordPress site, for example:
https://example.comhttps://example.com/blog
- Make sure the URL matches exactly how you access your WordPress admin.
- Click Connect or Continue.
VidToArticle will redirect you to your WordPress site to approve the connection.
4. Approve the connection in WordPress
On your WordPress site:
- Log in if prompted.
- You will see a screen from the VidToArticle Publisher plugin asking you to authorize the connection.
- Review the permissions (for example, the ability to create and update posts).
- Click Approve or Allow to complete the connection.
If you do not recognize the request or the permissions look wrong, cancel the request and contact support.
5. Confirm the connection in VidToArticle
After approval, you will be redirected back to VidToArticle:
- You should see your site listed under Connected WordPress Sites.
- Each connection typically shows:
- Site name and URL.
- Status (for example: Active).
- When it was connected.
If the connection fails, VidToArticle will show an error. Double-check that:
- The plugin is active.
- The URL is correct.
- Your site is reachable from the internet.
6. Test publishing from VidToArticle
To verify everything works:
- Generate an article in VidToArticle (see Creating Your First Article if you have not done this yet).
- From the article view or history, choose Publish to WordPress.
- Select your connected site.
- Choose the post type, category, and any other options (if available).
- Click Publish.
Then in WordPress:
- Go to Posts → All Posts.
- Confirm that a new post appears with the title and content from VidToArticle.
7. Disconnecting a site
If you need to disconnect a WordPress site later:
- Open the WordPress section in VidToArticle.
- Find the site in Connected WordPress Sites.
- Use the Disconnect, Remove, or similar action.
- Optionally, deactivate or uninstall the plugin from your WordPress admin.
Disconnecting a site stops VidToArticle from publishing new posts to that site, but does not delete any existing posts in WordPress.
